Toronto Sunshine List in Excel! Here's the link, courtesy of jackandcokewithalime...

As I'm sure you all know, the 2010 Ontario Sunshine List (list of Public Sector Employees who made $100,000 or more in 2009) came out yesterday and is available for everyone to review. In case you are looking for that list, it can be found at the following Ontario Government website link: Public Sector Salary Disclosure 2010 (Disclosure for 2009).

Now, unfortunately the Government provides the various lists of Employees in PDF files which are nice to read, but make it almost impossible to do any kind of quick analysis and slicing & dicing of the data.

Well, I took the liberty of pulling all of the City of Toronto data out of that Ontario Sunshine List (essentially creating the Toronto Sunshine List) from the Municipalities and Services PDF (a section contained in the Salary Disclosure), and I spent a challenging few hours converting it into an Excel file.

I'm happy to announce that I've completed the conversion, and it is perfectly clean and ready for anyone who wants to take a shot at doing some analysis on it!

Here's the link to download the excel version of the list:  TorontoSunshineList2010.xls.  Enjoy!!

After reviewing it and doing some analysis, please do come back if you can and let me know your interesting and controversial findings!!  I plan on compiling a Top 10 list (or something related), and would love to have your input!

PS:  If you appreciate the spreadsheet and the time and effort that went into creating it, please feel free to buy me a drink by clicking on the "DONATE" button on the right-hand side under the heading "Buy me a Drink?".  The DONATE functionality is powered by PayPal, and is therefore as secure as any other PayPal transaction.

Your support for jackandcokewithalime would be greatly appreciated, and will help me to continue to provide this kind of valuable content!

Cheers!
